Extending Navigation beyond the vehicle
To be used in conjunction with Jaguar vehicles which are fitted with the next-generation infotainment system, InControl Touch Pro, the Jaguar Route Planner App allows you to navigate from door to door. Before setting out from your home, set your destination from your smartphone and you’ll be directed to your Jaguar as the app detects your vehicles location. The smartphone app will then automatically sync with your Jaguars navigation system using the Cloud so your car will be ready to take over navigating soon after you get in. Once youve finished your in-car journey, navigation is then handed back to your smartphone, which provides any final public transport and pedestrian directions to your final destination.In addition the Route Planner app also allows you to pre-plan trips and holidays by searching for places of interest or restaurants and saving them as favourites from your smartphone. You will then be able to access these saved locations from the in-car navigation system at a later date. Note:• Requires InControl Navigation Account to sign-in. Account can be registered from either your Jaguar’s navigation settings or jaguar.here.com.• As we systematically introduce InControl, specific features, options and its availability remain market dependent. This app requires that your vehicle be fitted with its relevant connectivity package as well as a Micro SIM card with a suitable data contract. It worked at the beginning but no longer. Can't communicate with the car, says it needs internet access. This app has been abandoned by the brand. Appalling.
Refuses to allow me to login after installation. If I quit and try again later, my phone goes blank and I have to use the home button to get out of it. Unable to use any functions of the app, so can't tell if it's really as bad as the reviews say it is. Not worth keeping it on my phone. Time to uninstall. If I could give this app zero stars I would.
No maps visible. Poor interface. Fonts don't scale. Useless. Anyway, should just be part of the general InControl app.
Sorry but this is rubbish, I can see my car from here and this app tells me that it is parked 115 miles away. I restarted my samsung tablet, uninstalled and reinstalled the app - no improvement. I might get a Tesla next time........
Worked well at first now stopped working
Absolute rubbish. Car and home are not in same place. Don't bother
Regularly picks a historic location I've been for the car - currently where I went for holiday a year ago, previously on the M6 near Preston, and sticks with it, useless and a waste of storage.
Useless app shows my car as being permanently parked at SW London Jaguar, can't find a way of deleting this. Zero stars if it were allowed.
